Sunset January 2005

I'm just so sick of not being able to get outside and walk that I can hardly stand it. So I thought I'd post myself a reminder of the great world out there.

This one brings back sad memories; I took it as I drove back across the state one Sunday evening after spending the week-end with my stepmother, who was dying of cancer. I have found that the sky tends to light up when things are at their most grim. I don't know why that happens, but it does.

Another breathtakingly beautiful photo. Thanks, Robin. It does have a sort of sad ominous quality to it but the colors and patterns are magnificent.

When I see a sky like that, I feel deeply renewed. It give me a little umph to push through the difficult times.
