Iona III - Friends

It's good to spend time in a place where the cows take walks on the beach.

I did wonder if the animals on Iona knew that they had it made and enjoyed some of the most idyllic scenes in the world.

One of my favorite from Iona included two sheep resting on the golf course overlooking the atlantic, much like your highland cow...somedays i wish to be one of them.

I'm reminded of the happy cows commercial. I think those animals know what a good thing they've got.

Found your blog a week or so ago when other pictures of Iona were posted. I've always been fascinated by Iona and want to go there. I live on Prince Edward Isalnd and see your daughter was here last year. Cool!

I am impressed yet again by your photos - did you take lessons?

Sort of looks like snow that beach cow is walking on. Beautiful!

While they're all beautiful, I particularly liked the one of the cow with his hair (withers?) covering his eyes! That was somewhat comical. It was as if he's saying, "Get out of my space and leave me alone."

Is that a European robin?

I've had cows on my mind lately-probably because of the huge steak I ate the other night which is totally out of character for me, as well as my latest painting.

I now have a bad case of indigestion- these critters are way too cute, especially that highland bull.
