Friday Five

It's been months since I've played a Friday Five, but hey: why not today?

In EFM this week, our question was, "If you were a color, what would you be?" So that's where this Friday Five comes from, at least its jumping off place.

1. If you were a color, what would you be?

Crayola Blue Green, the color of oceans and northern forests.

2. If you were a flower (or plant), what would you be?

A cactus: well-defended and prickly on the outside, hopeful for life on the inside.

3. If you were an animal, what kind would you be?

A cheetah: languid, elegant, and fast. Or maybe a porcupine: see number 2.

4. If you were a shoe, what type would you be?

A pair of Tevas: think beach and hiking trail.

5. If you were a typeface, which font would you be?

Mistral. It just looks like me.

I am off to play in just a bit...but love your porcupine answer.

cacti are also beautiful - especially when the bloom - tough, prickly, tenancious, life giving (lots of birds and other animals sustain life inside a cactus), able to withstand the harshest of weather, and beautiful - indeed much like you seem, as well.

Cacti...wish I'd thought of that. Chose wild roses for the same reasons. Great play!

Great imagining!

I like the porcupine answer. In my observation, porcupines just do their own thing and don't care what anyone/anything thinks.;-)

Did you know that at the San Diego Wild Animal Park (and, I believe, other similar places) each cheetah is paired at a very young age with a puppy for companionship and courage (for the cheetah...they are generally timid)? They grow up together, live and play and sleep together, and generally make it to about the same age. The only time they need to be separated is at meals, because the cheetah will let the dog eat its food.

I don't think of you as timid, but I hope you have some wonderful companions in your life!
