New Orleans: "A Heck Of A Job"

Some people are doing a heck of a job. For instance, college students. I'm particularly proud of the one in the top photo.

And you have every reason to be proud of that college student.

She's doing an amazing job. Looks like a never-ending one, too.

That it is such a mess more than six months later speaks volumes about the extent of the damage. I'm glad that the college students and so many others are helping. Does it feel insurmountable to them?

I saw pictures of George Bush there with his sleeves rolled up. Where is he now? Your daughter give me hope that her generation will repair the damage that this administration has done to the world through both its actions and inaction.

When she comes home, please give her a hug for me!

So much repair still needs to be done. The reports I receive from family that lives there and friends who just visited last week tell tales of unfathomable cleanup that still needs to be done. Please thank your daughter for her efforts. The spirit of the young people throughout the country gives me hope for a future, not only for NOLA but for the country as well.
