Life is pretty good here. Too bad it can't last.

The Human brought me home a week ago. I had been wandering the cemetery where she walks and I was headed across that busy street outside the main gate when she scooped me up and said, "I don't think so."

She thought I was lost and she put up signs. Nothing happened so now she thinks I was dumped. Could be. I've reached that age where the humans tend to realize that we do not stay kittens forever.

I was pretty quiet the first couple of days, but now I realize that even though The Quiet Husband doesn't want me here, it's a safe place. There's plenty of food, a dog to torment, and windows from which to watch the world. They mostly keep me in the library, and there are all kinds of things to knock off shelves in there.

I heard them talking about the Animal Shelter, but I got a reprieve for a couple of weeks. The animal shelters around town have no room for kitties. Maybe the humans will find me a place before I have to go there.

The Human says she would take care of the neutering if someone would adopt me. She has some nasty things to say about Irresponsible Pet Ownership. If any of my readers are in northeast Ohio and in need of a cat, I have my thumb out for a ride. When I'm not busy relaxing.

Oh, too sweet. My problem, once I let them in my house they become family and I never let them go. Husband is the same way...so we have to be very careful with strays or we'd live in a zoo...luckily I don't find so many around here. Good luck finding a good home. Sometimes vets will post notes about animals up for adoption....

There is just no way that a beautiful kitty like yourself could possibly be 'dumped'. That's just so wrong.

MomPriests tip about vet postings is a good one.

I think he should go to seminary with you, so you'd have someone warm and fuzzy to live in the dorms with you.

Post this on Petfinder.com. I'm guessing you'll find a taker in no time. I'm not even a cat person and he's adorable.

We're praying the human will keep you til she finds a good home, like ours, for you. (If our mom lived closer and didn't have all four of us already you can bet she'd be scooping you in her arms and carrying you home!) Oliver, Samantha, Cassandra & Christopher

This is the week for them. We have been found by a wee one and I am into shameless marketing and hardening of heart as we can't have another, either. Prayers of gratitude for those who rescue and for those who will be waiting to be new homes.

You are a sweetie, and I agree with another commentor that maybe you should go to seminary with the Human.

The Human did the right thing . . . and be wary of the Shelters, as they are overrun with the leftover problems of other irresponsible people, and there just are never enough resources to completey address the problem.

Ever think he showed up in your life right now because he is supposed to be with you?

Peace, Virginia
