I'm sure I posted similar pictures five years ago (can it be that long?!) after the Lovely Daughter and I made our trip out west to look at colleges. But those images have vanished into the stratosphere, so why not some new ones?
I didn't get any further than the bridge at Multnomah Falls on that venture. This time I made it to the top -- a hike of 1.5 hours up and 45 minutes down. The final photo is from about halfway.
I am now convinced that my students need to see some waterfalls.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. I'm now convinced that I must get to the Pacific Northwest!
ReplyDeletebeautiful....wow.
ReplyDeleteDo you know I've lived in Oregon for 25 years and have yet to climb the falls? Only visited once, and I was with my non-hiking flat-lander family, so we did a lot of looking up an not much more... :P
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures which somehow give image to the scene described in a recent reading of "The Shack"...
ReplyDeleteThe falls are breathtaking. I would LOVE to make a trip there.
ReplyDeleteI was there this last weekend. Really is a spectacular place.
ReplyDeleteOh sigh... love the Columbia River Gorge. We lived in Hood River for 18 months and would move back in half a heart beat given the right conditions!
